Unusual detailed work on the sources of the personalities whose names are the street names of Tel Aviv compiled by Benjamin ben Bunim Mintz and Eliezer Steinman. There is table of contents, an introduction, a forward entitled le-takkanot reshut harabbim by Jacob Schiffman, a map showing the growth of Tel Aviv from 1937 to 1943, on the Hebrew University in 1943, and then a listing of 168 names. All this is followed by the alphabetical description of the personalities whose names are used for street names in Tel Aviv. Many are famed rabbinic figures over the millennium, including the Hatam Sofer, Hafetz Hayyim, etc. Some of the biographies are lengthy, making for an interesting, informative and certainly unusual work. At the end of the book is a detailed fold out map of Tel Aviv.
