Detailed
Description
Only edition of these discourses on the weekly Torah portion by R. Ezekiel Meir ben Rahamim Moalim. This volume, on Vayikra, is described on the title page as volume three (parts 1-2 and 4-5 were printed between 1932-35). The homilies are collected from the works of risahonim and aharonim, old and new. It concludes with the entreaty that he and his seed after him, until the coming of the redeemer and the building of the third Temple as prophesized by Ezekiel, should learn from the book. It is dated with a chronogram from the verse “The speech of him who heard the words of God, who saw the vision of the Almighty, falling down, but [having his eyes open]” (Numbers 24:4). The verso of the title page has R. Moalim’s introduction, followed by the text in a single column in rabbinic letters.
