Description		    Halakhic novellae (responsa) on all four parts of the Shulhan Arukh by R. Isaiah Simeon Hayyim Obadia [Sephardi Tahor]. The title page informs that it is halakhic rulings on various subjects arranged according to the order of the Arba’ah Turim, “as God has graced me, not by my sword, nor by my bow, ‘the bows of the mighty men’” (I Samuel 2:4). It is dated, “Moses commanded us a Torah תורה צוה (712 = 1952)” (Deuteronomy 33:4). The verso of the title page has a brief statement from the the author and informs that the book can be purchased from Rebbi David Obadia Rabbin Delegue, Sefrou (Maroc). Next is an oval photograph of the author, giving his birth date as 28 Iyyar 5632 (Friday, May 19, 1871). R. Obadia’s lengthy introduction follows, beginning with verse, prefetoru remarks from R. Jacob Hai Zarihan, and the author’s son R. David Obadia [Sephardi Tahor]. There is a list of the sponsors of publication, and then the text in two columns in rabbinic type. There are eighteen simanim for Orah Hayyim, forty six for Yoreh De’ah, forty for Even Ha-Ezer, and twenty one for Hoshen Mishpat, all detailed, reflecting R. Obadia’s great learning and erudition. There is a detailed index at the end of the volume.
