Description		    R. Uri b. Abraham Langner (1896-1970) belonged to the Stretyn-Langner-Brandwein family. He was born in Knyazhnychi where his father was Admor and came to the US in 1924. R. Langner, served as Admor of Knyazhnychi in New York and was a prolific scholar, authoring upwards of 20 thick works in novellae, homiletics, and responsa. Among his relatives were R. Yizhak Isaac Langer of New York (1947); R. Solomon Langner of Toronto (1973); R. David Flam of Montreal (1971); R. Yizhak Isaac Langer of Toronto (1980); R. Abraham Brandwein of Piatra - Neamt - Haifa (1973); and R. Judah Zevi Brandwein of Tel Aviv - Jerusalem, who was known as the "rabbi of the Histadrut."
