Description		    Responsa from R. Meir ben Shem Tov Melamed. The title, Mishpat Zedek (full of judgment) is from “and they shall judge the people with just judgment” (Deuteronomy 16:18). An elaborate oriental frame graces the title page; the text states that it is the second part of the responsa of the great light, the complete Sinai and uprooter of mountains, R. Meir ben Shem Tov Melamed. Beginning of the work was on Friday, 22 Sivan, “O Lord, save your people, the remnant of Israel” (Jeremiah 31:6) and completion id dated with the verse, “and they shall judge the people with just judgment” (Deuteronomy 16:18). The responsa follow, set in two columns in rabbinic type, excepting headers and initial words, which are in square letters. Mishpat Zedek contains seventy nine lengthy and erudite responsa covering such subjects as the laws of tefillah, interest, honor of a Talmudic scholar.
