Description		    Only edition of these novellae and discourses by R. Joseph ben Asher ha-Kohen (Katz). The title is from “This was the dedication of the altar, in the day when it was anointed, by the princes of Israel; twelve dishes of silver, twelve silver bowls, twelve spoons of gold (Kapos Zahav)” (Numbers 7:84). The text of the title page describes it as Kapos Zahav shtaim (two), one spoon full of the blessings of the Lord, halakhot and pleasant pilpulim, built with its “foundation is in the holy mountains” (cf. Psalms 87:1), all diverse, the second caf sharp parables with words of aggada, all clear, all from the perspective “one to another” (Exodus 26:3) related, all equally fine. There are approbations from R. Aryeh Leib Katzenelbogen, R. Abraham Evlei ben Abraham Solomon Posveler, and R. Jacob ben Aaron of Karlin, an introduction, and the text. The first part is entitled Reisha ddhava and is the novellae. The second part, with its own title page, beginning in 33a, are the discourses, twenty in number. The volume concludes with an index of sources, a detailed listing of the contents, and errata.
