Description

Only edition of this unique multi-part Hasidic (Chernobyl), kabbalistic and midrashic work R. Shalom ben Jacob Natanzohn. It is described as being described as having pleasing words, pearls of wisdom, from a holy source, “the fountain of living waters” Jeremiah 17:13). R. Natanzohn informs that the sources hs has collected, compiled, assembled, and selected from are Sifra, Sifre, Mekhilta, Yerushalmi, Zohar, Tikkunei Zohar, Zohar Hadash, Midrash ha-Na’alim, Midrash Rabbah, Tanhumah, Sohar Tov, Shemu’el, Tehillim, MishleiTanna de-be Eliyahu, Pirkei de-Rabbi Eliezer, Yakut Shimonei, Pesikta Zutra, Avot de-Rabbi Nathan, Sofrim, and Kalla. He has arranged this material alphabetically according to the Concordance. The text is accompanied (followed) by notes and glosses entitled Divrei Shalom and Ma’amar Shalom. There are approbations from R. Israel ben Isaac Twersky, R.Zev ben Jonathon Twersky, R. David ben Isaac Twersky, R. Menahem Nahum ben Mordecai Twersky, R. Moses Nahum Yerushlamisky, R. Naftali Zevi ben Moses, R. Simhah, and R. Hayyim Hezkia. There is a preface from the author entitled Homat Ziyyon, and then the text arranged alphabetically. Tsiyune Shalom concludes on 91a followed by errata. The second part of the volume, with its own foliation, consists,at the top of the page, of Divrei Shalom, and below it, Ma’amar Shalom. These are detailed and rich notes and glosses. In this work R. Natanzohn includes considerable Torah thoughts from admorim from the Chernobyl dynasty.
