Detailed
Description
Full title: Di Yudishe geshikhte loyt di mesoyre : bearbet fun di ershte Toyre-kvelen: Tanakh, Medroshim un andere Sifrey kadmoynim, in der belaykhtung fun di ershte meforshe-ha-Toyre , compiled by Meshulam Kaminer. This collection tells the story of the Jewish people in Yiddish, with illustrations.

The last two parts, also a history of the Jewish people, have a slightly different title: Shul-bukh far Yudishe geshikhte. Vol 2 of this set was published in Lodz by Ferlag Mesora in 1927, and vol. 3 in 1928. They were written by Mordechai Baumberg. [Vol. 1, which is not included here, was published in Lodz in 1926.] These 6 parts are all bound together in one volume.

Meshulam Kaminer was the quintessential jack-of-all-trades: political leader, newspaper publisher, and community organizer. All his efforts shared one common thread – improving the lot of Polish Jewry. From the Agudah to the Warsaw Ghetto,he was a remarkable man dedicated to helping his fellow Jew.
