Detailed
Description
Requesting guidance from R. Mesas, the Chief Rabbi, on a gentile woman who saved and hid a Jewish child during the Holocaust and then married him in the civil courts. The couple have teenage children who were circumcised and converted to Judaism at age three. The mother has on several occasions requested to be converted to Judaism, unsuccessfully. At this point she reveals that her mother was Jewish with the name Herzog and has a family charm to prove it. The rabbi inquires if she is trustworthy and if not what is the next step.
