Gold pocket watch (chain is not original and not gold - it was added by the current consignor's father at a later date).
Complete provenances and a statement by the seller, a descendant, as to authenticity will be provided to the winner. Being sold by a grandchild, as per instructions in a final will, to finance the kollel tuition of children engaged in the study of Torah.

Detailed Description |
|
The watch was a wedding gift to R. Hanokh Henokh b Joseph David Mayer (1884-1942) Admor of Krestir - Sasov, by his father in law, R. Hananiah Yom Tov Lipa b. Jekuthiel Judah Teitelbaum (1836-1904), Admor of Sighet, author of the Kedushat Yom Tov and by descent to the consignor. The engagement took place in 1892 followed by the wedding in 1898 when the watch was presented. |
