Description		    Only edition., 1 [1], 9, 25, 35, 22, [5] ff. folio 300:180 mm., wide margins, usual age and damp staining, old hands and stamps. A very good copy bound in modern boards.
          
Detailed
Description		    Only edition of these novellae on tractates of the Talmud Bavli and Rambam by R. Jacob Samosc (Samoscz). The elaborate title page, with detailed side decorations, two cherubim at the top holding a crown, and a floral arrangement below the text, informs that R. Samosc was elderly and resident in the yeshivah in Frankfort am Main. The novellae are on tractates Berakhot, Shevu’ot, Bava Kamma, Bava Mezia, Sukkah, Bezah, Kiddushin, and also on the language of the Rambam and of the poskim. It is dated with the verse “For he established a testimony in Jacob, and appointed a Torah in Israel” (Psalms 78:5). On the verso of the title page are approbations from R. Jacob Yosha of Cracow, R. Samuel Helman, and R. Moses Segal. Next are two introductions from R. Samosc’s sons, Isaac and Jacob, who brought the book to press. The text follows, in two columns in rabbinic letters, concluding with novellae from R. Samosc’s sons. The volume is enhanced by the placement of several tail-pieces at the end of sections and headers of rows of florets.

עם שתי הקדמות מאת בני המחבר שהביאו את הספר לדפוס: ר' יצחק ור' אליעזר ליזר זאמשט. בסוף הספר נדפסו גם חידושים משלהם.
