A pamphlet on the life of the working woman in Israel put out by ha-Vaad ha-merkazi shel ha-Miflagah ha-kommunistit ha-Yisrelit [the central committe of the Israeli Communist party]. This report follows the workers' conference that was held in January, 1960.
The Israeli Communist Party was established in 1922. The Communist Party contains both Jewish and Arab members and has an Anti-Zionist platform. From the outset, it advocated a Palestinian state as well as worker’s rights, women’s rights and equality among Israel’s citizens. Its constituency consists mainly of Israeli Arabs. The party also serves as a driving force behind Hadash.
