Description		    Discourses on various subjects with midrashic and kabbalistic content by R. Rueben ben Ya’ish Timztis. The title page describes the discourses as “sought out all by all who love them” (Psalms 111:2) “More to be desired are they than gold” (cf. Psalms 19:11) and that they are “sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb” (Psalms 19:11). It is dated with the verse “and shall not remember the reproach of your widowhood any more” (Isaiah 54:4). Included are many wondrous sayings, deep and sharp, all based earlier geonim who spoke with ru’ah ha-kodesh. There are approbations from R. Abraham Abuhazeira, R. Moses Zarihan, R. Abraham Abitul, R. David ben Ziyyon Nigran, R. Solomon Atrazman, R. Joseph Ben Attar, R. Hayyim Birdogo, and R. Hayyim Raphael Attia followed by R. Timztis’s introduction and the text in two columns in rabbinic letters. The subject matter is varied, beginning with Mattan Torah, the virtue of the Babylonian Talmud, and concluding with tihiat ha-Matim, and the virtues of the elderly. After the discourses are Amerat Tohorah.
