Detailed
Description
Three protests against false fundraising letters in one poster. The first part of the poster addresses letters sent out by R. Reuben Solomon Jungreis. The Ashkenazic Communities of Jerusalem, represented by R. Zalman ha-Kohen Reuben and R. Moses Isaac, notify the public that R. Jungreis has no authority to write these letters, and the people he claims to be raising money for, R. Hayyim Sonnenfeld and R. Isaac Jerahim Diskin are old and do not need the money, as they have other sources of support. Furthermore, the names he appends to the appeal have not consented that their names be used and R. Ashkenazic Communitiees of Jerusalem is only taking the money for himself. The second letter, Da’at Torah, signed by six prestigious rabbis, among them R. Zevi Pesah Frank, state that the signatories represent the Va’ad, were properly elected and other fundraisers have no right to send letters under their names. The last letter is from Rav Kook, stating his approval and agreement with the two previous letters.
