Detailed
Description
Addressed to the community in Jerusalem, this poster discusses the current situation with regard to the price of ice. The people behind this poster claim that the ice factories have gathered together to artificially control the price. First the price was raised, and the undersigned complained ("to have mercy on your money"). Now it has become known that the ice syndicate is trying to grab you into their nets by lowering the price, and are not giving us (your rescuers) the ability to bring you ice "always" at a low price..

Therefore you must know that once you "are in their nets" they will raise the price threefold....Open you eyes and be warned and do not look at the benefit of the hour..." Signed: H. Barberman/Houseman and partners
