Hassidic commentary on the Passover Haggadah by R. Moses Hayyim ben Abraham Joseph Klainfeld of Brisk-Lita. The title page describes the Haggadah as being overlaid and adorned with the nectar of sayings, enlightening as lightning, as fine gold desireable, “sweeter also than honey” (cf. Psalms 19:11), words of the sages and their riddles, with the depth and width of their understanding, words clear and bright, given over at Sinai, words of the living God, illuminating in the heavens. Zuf Amarim is dated, appropriately, with the verse “As in the days when you came out of the land of Egypt I will tell him marvelous things” (Micah 7:15). There are approbations from R. Isaac Ze’ev Solovetchik, R. Isaac Schneersohn, R. Eliezer Rabbinovitch, R. Aaron Tomarikin, R. Elijah Meir Feilvosohn, R. Abraham Rappaport, R. Zalman Schneersohn, R. Jacob Joseph Gatz, and R. Raphael Mordecai Barisanski. Next is a four-column list of the individuals who assisted in financing publication and then the text. The text is preceded by the brief explanations of several of the mitzvot associated with Pesah, and then the text, comprised of the Haggadah and about it R. Klainman’s comprehensive commentary. It should be noted that this Haggadah with hasidic interpretations has approbations from a diverse number of rabbis, including R. Solovetchik of Brisk and R. Schneersohn, the Lubavitcher rebbe.
R. Moses Hayyim Klainfeld was also the author of Mazkeret Shem ha-Gedolim, Zikkaron le-Rishonim, Or Yesharim, Le-Yesharim Tehilah, Gan Haddasim, Mesillot ha-Yesharim, Haderet Kodesh, Midrash Hakhamim, and a siddur with the commentary Imrei Binah,
