Signed copy of A Getreie Mame (a true mother) containing the words and music (for piano) for "the latest Jewish ballad" by Oscar Heit. The lyrics are in transliterated Yiddish. J. & J. Kammen Music Publishers and Distributors was founded by the twin brothers Jack and Joseph Kammen (Jacob Kamenetsky 1888-1954? and Joseph Kamenetzky 1888-1957?) who soon moved uptown and eventually published general popular music in addition to Yiddish music. The company ceased to exist in the 1970s. |
