Description		    A multi-part work on biblical variants comprised of segments printed previously by R. Abraham ben Jacob Beck. It is described on the title page as being one part of his large work – Ohel Mo’ed – and is intended to include wonders from the Torah, variants, past to future, male to female, plural to singular, logical to concealed, etc., all brought in one subject or a repeated mitzvah in variant terms, to remove the veil from that which is read but not written and that which is written and not read, to penetrate the depths of allusions through that which is missing and extra, and much more. There are numerous approbations from rabbis in Hebron, Safed, Tiberius and Jerusalem, several referring to R. Beck’s earlier works. There is a lengthy introduction, a list of the names of supporters of publication, and then the text, comprised of Tosafot ha-Ohel; Zar Zahav; anf Ohel Mo’ed with Yeriot ha-Ohel, this last with new foliation.

R. Abraham ben Jacob Beck (1835-1902) was born in Mogilew and died in Pressburg. A merchant and a Talmudic scholar. R. Beck married the sister of R. Isaac Jacob Reines, one of the founders of Mizrachi. R. Beck traveled throughout Europe and the east on behalf of Mizrachi, also acquiring antique books and manuscripts. He then went up to Jerusalem, founding a press that published several of his works, but due to family illness returned to Europe, settling in Pressburg.
