Description		    First edition. 112 pp. octavo 187:110 mm., usual age staining. A good copy bound in later boards, rubbed.

Description		    Charming book for kindergarten children comprised of poems, games, plays arranged by Isaac ben Aryeh Altermann, director of the problem courses, Borsa. Also included are songs with musical arrangements by the composer M. Kantor-Kravitz. The text is in a single column in large square vocalized letters accompanied by instructions for performing the various activiites in smaller unvocalized letters. Mishakim Prebelim begins with “on the window” relating that a beautiful bird is at the window and a boy runs to the window. The bird takes flight and the the boy cries where is the beautiful bird, the bird is not on the window. The accompanying instructions state that one of thje smaller children should stand by the window, his hands on his waist like a bird’s wings. He should wave them and imitate the sound of a bird and other members of the class stand and sing on the window, on the window. Similar verse follow dealing with opening the gate, shutting the eyes, the apple, the goat, and many others. From p. 91 are songs with musical notations, relating to some of the earlier material, including by the window.
