Description		    Responsa on Orah Hayyim and Yoreh De’ah by R. Judah Leib ben David Friedmann rosh bet din Pressburg (Bratislava) He also left over Mekor Hayyim, Torat Hakham novellae on many Talmudic tractates. There is an approbation from R. Akiva Sofer, an introduction from R. Friedmann’s son-in-law, R. Isaiah Kalish, who brought the book to press, which includes the author’s genealogy, verse by R. Friedmann, errata, and then the text. R. Friedmann’s responsa published here consist of thirty-three responsa on Orah Hayyim and seventy-two responsa on Yoreh De’ah. The volume concludes with a listing of the responsa.

R. Judah Leib ben David Friedmann (1863-1919). He was a student of R. Joseph Hoenig av bet din Nitra and R. Moses Hirshpoks, av bet din Sarad and author of Shevet Sofer. In 1887 He married the daughter of R. P. Fischman, the maggid of Pressburg. From 1895 R. Friedmann was the dayyan and rosh av bet din in Pressburg.
