Description		    Only edition of this work explaining the Bible and related subjects by R. Isaac Zevi ben Asher Berkovich. The title page informs that the book is in two parts. The first part consists of explanations are according to four of the thirty-two Middot of R. Eleazer, son of R. Yosi ha-Galili. Those Middot are 1) Derek Kezarah: conciseness (Middot 9), 2) Siddur she-nehlak, where a textual clause or sentence is not logically divisible is divided by the punctuation, the proper order and the division of the verses must be restored according to the logical connection (middot 11), 3) Where a passage can be supplemented and explained by a parallel passage (Middot 22), and 4) a preceding phrase is post-positioned, that is, a following phrase must be regarded as properly preceding, and must be interpreted accordingly in exegesis. The second part is1) on the history of the massorah, including the keri and ketav (read and written forms) and 2) explaining biblical terms and names. The verso of the title page is in Cyrillic followed by the title page foir the first part, which repeats the pertinent information given on the volume title page, a dedication by R. Berkovich to his father, a preface, introduction, and then the text. The description of the middot includes numerous examples and is accompanied by footnotes.
