Description		    Hebrew text book for Moroccan Jewry with a Hebrew-French dictionary and a section of illustrations at the end. The title page states that it was written by the teacher Nissim Adahan, son of the late Judah Adahan. Elijah Vazana ben David Vazana may he continue to live. It is dated 5709 in Latin letters, that is, 1949. There is a page in which the author expresses his gratitude to his teachers, who instructed him in Hebrew and Judaism, naming R. David Abozglo and R. Jacob Adrai. He also expresses his gratitude to those who assisted his family (?) financially, naming several individuals. He concludes by naming several members of the Sabbag family. Next are prefatory remarks in which Adahan explains what prompted him to write Ivrit le-Miskadmin, that is a lack of suitable works for the purpose of teaching Hebrew outside of Erez Israel. Similar statements are found below in remarks top the reader. There is a preface in French, in which Adahan outlines the parts of the composition of the book, which includes dialogues, grammar, a lexicon, and illustrations. The last part, from 174 through 188 has pictures of a man standing and throwing on object with the appropriate Hebrew word next to various body parts. This is also done with the following pictures, which include a skeletons, the internal parts of the body, and several pages of animals, birds, and fish. Ivrit le-Miskadmin comes with its original wrappers.
