Description		    A collection of sermons adapted from Talmudic, Midrash, and Biblical exegetical works by Adolf Ehrentheil. These sermons, covering topics such as hypocrisy, pride, and poverty, were intended for use in Jewish services. Subtitle is Eine Sammlung der zu Predigttexten zunaechst geeigneten Talmud-, Midrasch- und Bibelstellen in exegetisch homiletischer Bearbeitung für Freunde jüdischer Homiletik und religieos moralischer Lectuer. Text is in German with some Hebrew.

Rabbi Adolf Ehrentheil was the “Bezirts Rabbiner zu Kaposvar” [the district rabbi of Kaposvar, Hungary] and “t.t. Feldrabbiner im M.F. in Horic” [Jewish Military Chaplain in Bohemia] in the mid nineteenth century. Dr. Ehrentheil was the author of several other books, including Mateh Aharon, Mit unserer Jugend, and Karmel.
