Description |

Prayer for the well being of the kingdom. The flier begins a biblical quote “I have loved you, says the Lord” (Malachi 1:2), followed by the Lord has sworn not to enter into the heavenly Jerusalem until Israel enters into the earthly Jerusalem. The first paragraph is taken from Berakhot 3a, stating the Holy One weeps and roars like a lion and says Woe to the children, on account of whose sins I destroyed My house and burnt My temple and exiled them among the nations of the world. And at the time that the Israelites respond: 'May His great name be blessed!' He, shakes His head and says: Happy is the king who is thus praised in this house! Woe to the father who had to banish his children, and woe to the children who had to be banished from the table of their father! The second paragraph is from the Yalkut and is in a somewhat similar vein. There are brief prayers and the flier concludes that the principle is to pray on the exile of the Shechinah and on the profanation of His divine name and the Holy One blessed is He should accept our prayers and speedily bring us our righteous redeemer.
