Description		    Only edition of the book of Psalms with the commentary Nahalat Binyamin by R. Benjamin Meir ben Elkhanan Maggid of Krementshug. In addition to Nahalat Binyamin, the text is accompanied by Zar Zahav comprised of sayings of earlier sages. The title page states, see this new thing, a wondrous commentary to explain all that is concealed in Psalms in a straightforward, correct, and straight manner, discourses attractive and clear, for the method of derash is not far from that of peshat (literal interpretations). His purpose is to breath the spirit of life into the text, in a manner consistent with the times. There is an approbation from R. Eliezer Silver (1882-1968), president of the Union of Orthodox Rabbis, and founder of the U.S. branch of Agudat Israel. There is an introduction from R. Benjamin Meir, follwed by a preface by him, and the text. Psalms are at the top of the page in square unvocallized letters, below in a smaller square typeface is Nahalat Binyamin, and at the bottom of the page is Zar Zahav. Nahalat Binyamin is a detailed commentary, entries beginning with, the question is, which are then responded to in depth.

R. Benjamin Meir was also the author of Kerem Binyamin, Shevah Kinei Menorah, and Refu’ot ha-Nefesh.
