Detailed Description |
|
A poster which decries the opening of a municipal swimming pool in Jerusalem --- declaring a day of assembly and fasting and the recitation of psalms starting with Mincha on Thursday, the 3rd of Iyar and continuing on the 4th of Iyar.
The poster begins by saying that on a day when the enemy and haters of Hashem have overcome and ruled on the Yishuv in Eretz Israel to uproot Torah and to cut off faith (have pity on us). In the evening and in the day, those who tremble to speak to G-d will cry and lament on the exile of the Holy Divine presence. ...That from the Nazis arose deniers who rebel against His kingdom in His palace. ...and on the burning of the Holy Torah ...and on the many pure souls who will be turned to destruction .... |
