The narrative includes a brief description of the modus operandi of the mass gassing and cremation-on-pyres procedure. There is also a selection of German documents included. This book includes photos from the Warsaw Ghetto, most of whose inhabitants were sent to their deaths at Treblinka II, photos of the bone-strewed fields where Treblinka stood, and photos of the memorial that now rests at the site. One of the photos shows a small opening at the top of the death train, from which three Jewish victims could barely peer out of.
