Detailed Description |
|
A. sermon delivered by Rabbi E. G. Levi for the wedding of his [my] son (auspicando la nozze di mio figlio) Moise to Miss (colla signorina) Eugenia Todros, dedicated with paternal affection (dedico ricordo di paterno affetto). It is dated 4 April 1886 (28 Ve-Adar 5646). The text is preceded by a moving introduction with the heading Miei amatissimi Figli (my beloved son) and then the discourse in Italian with occasional Hebrew. It begins with the verse “but all the people of Israel had light in their dwellings” (Exodus 10:23) and continues using that verse to build its theme.
