Description		    Letter by R. Joshua Hoeschel Rozowski to the Rabbinate in Haifa on behalf of a husband who wishes to divorce his wife who immigrated to Erez Israel. The initial agreement was for the two to get married and move to Erez Israel where they would live happily ever after. The wife received permission to migrate the husband did not. Now two years later he not having heard from his wife and seeing no realistic opportunity of being allowed to migrate wants to divorce her.

These type of events occurred regularly under the British Mandate in Erez Israel who refused entry to the large majority of applicants, as breaking families meant nothing to them.
