A small poster printed in Hebrew and Ladino side by side where it states that for many years tzadikkim ruled that from the 20th of the month of Av until Yom Kippur is the time to study and "tikkun karet" (an expiation of sins for which one is liable for "karet")...and that the Holy One, Blessed be He will void all evil decrees..and inscribe us in the Book of Life....and to contribute to those who ask a donation...and we will merit to [see] the face of our Messiah, and He will renew for us a good year.... |
