Description		    Only edition of these sermons by R. Abraham Leichtag Wachsmann. The title is from “The burden of the Valley of Vision (Ge Hizayon). What ails you now, that you are wholly gone up to the housetops” (Isaiah 22:1)? Although R. Wachsmann served as rabbi in Scheveningen in Holland Ge Hizayon was actually printed in Satmer, Rumania under the supervision of R. M. Krauss of Bala-mare. There are approbations from R. Dov Berush Meisels, av bet din Ohelei, Hungary; R. Joseph Nehemia Akiva Karnitsar, av bet din, Cracow; and R. Isaiah Silberstein, av bet din, Vitzin. Next is R. Wachsmann’s introduction, followed by dedications to his father, R. Pinhas ben Moses Judah, and to R. Shalom Joseph ben Hayyim, and to Sarah Rivka bazt Esther Hendel Weinstock who assisted him in publishing the book. There are ten discourses, on such subjects as the purpose of creation; the purpose of man and his completeness; going out of Mizraim; Matan Torah; this world and the world to come; and the crown and honor (keter ve-ha-kovod). Ge Hizayon is accompanied by a second small work of R. Wachsmann entitled Beit Va’ad le-hs-Hakhamim on sugyot ha-shass and poskim. Beit Va’ad le-hs-Hakhamim has its own title page and pagination.
