Description
Only edition of this Judeo-German work on the destruction of the Temple to be read on Tishah b’Av compiled by R. Lipman Leszcynski. The title page includes the statement from Tractate Ta’anit (30b), “all who mourn for Jerusalem will merit and see its rejoicing; and those who do not mourn, will not see its rejoicing.” The text is a detailed recounting of the destruction of Jerusalem based on the recording of those events in tractate Gittin, as noted on the title page. Horban Beit Ha-Mikdash is set in a single column in square letters. The verso of the title page has an apologia in Hebrew from R. Leszcynski.
