Detailed
Description
Letter by the Admor of Sadagora, R. Mordecai Shalom Yosef Friedman (1897-1979). He was the son of R. Aaron, his mother was Sarah Sheindel. At the age of sixteen, he became rebbe. He married Mirel Mirah, the daughter of R. Yisrael Sholom Yosef Heschel of Medziborz. To keep in touch with his scattered followers, he regularly traveled from Vienna to Przemysl, and in 1922, he settled there. In 1939, he emigrated to the Holy Land.

He was very active in the Agudah, the Mo'etzet Gedolei Ha Torah , and the Hinukh Atzmai. It was his hope to establish a hasidic settlement in the Land of Israel to perpetuate the Sadgora dynasty. His discourses are to be found in Knesset Mordecai (Przemysl, 1938).
