Two independent works. The first title is Ilana de-Haye [part I of III only]. This is the only edition of this monumental work on the Tur Orah Hayyim on hilkhot Pesah by R. Gershon Tanhum ben Elijah Benjamin. This is the first of three parts. The volume begins with a brief introduction from R. Gershon Tanhum and then the text, starting with Orah Hayyim 429. There are also sections on the Magen Avraham, novellae, and responsa to this comprehensive work on a complex subject. The pages are misbound but present.
The second work is Sefat ha-Yam, responsa by R. Jehiel Michael ben Nathaniel who is resident in Selts near Brisk. Sefat ha-Yam was printed in three parts, from 1875 through 1889. All three parts are here, although part three is bound between parts one and two. Part one has a page with approbations from eight rabbis followed by the author’s introduction. It is comprised of forty-two responsa on Orah Hayyim and Yoreh De’ah. The other parts, in addition to responsa, include eulogies, various discourses, and a kunttress on Shivi’is.
