Description |

Decorated receipt by R. Benjamin Zev Wolf Hayyut (1768-1847) rabbi of Palata. R. Hayyut was a student and disciple of the Hatam Sofer and is addressed in several responsa. He also studied with R. Levi Pollak at Trist, R. Hayyut served for a short time in Stemphan and in 1810 was appointed to Palata where he served for 38 years. |
