Description
A discourse delivered by R. Alessandro Foa. The title page describes it as Parole Pronunciate dall' Eccellentismo Rabbino Alessandro Foa (Words from the Excellent Rabbi Alexander Foa) the occasion being celebrandosi la sua promozione a rabbino maggiore (celebrating his promotion to Rabbi). The text, in Italian with occasional Hebrew is in two parts, each headed by an attractive head-piece and concluding with tail-pieces. The first part is the actual discourse, followed an appendice which is comprised of two letters from Rabbino Giuseppe Raffael Levi a Vercelli, both 1881; Cav. Flaminio Servi, Rabbino Maggiore, Direttore del Vesillo Israelitico, 22 April, 1897; A. S. M. Umberto I (King of Italy), 1897; and Ministero della Real Caso Tenente Generale Ponzio Vaglia, 1897.
