Detailed Description |
|
Popular commentary on the Torah, Prophets, and Ketuvim and aggadot in the Talmud compiled and arranged by R. Shimon Bezalel ben Meir Zevi Neiman (c.1860-1942). Peninim Yekarim is comprised of approximately five hundred m’amrim selected from other works, both old and new, words precious and wondrous, from previous geonim. All this designed to make the heart rejoice. In addition to the above, added to this edition is Hemdat Genuzah, also desirable discourses, from R. Solomon Kahana. There is an introduction immediately followed by the text, set in a single column in rabbinic type. The first part of Peninim Yekarim is on the weekly Torah readings followed by likkutim from Tanakh and the Talmud. Hemdat Genuzah begins on 159 and completes the book.
