Description		    Psalms with three distinguished Commentaries by R. Isaiah ben Abraham Ha-Levi Horowitz (Shelah ha-Kodesh), R. Moses ben Gershon Zalshin, and R. Israel Ze’ev ben Shimshon. There is an introduction from R. Zalshin, tefilot u-bakashot (supplications), notes on reciting Psalms, a key to the daily saying of Psalms, and then the actual text. Psalms are at the top of the page in large vocalized square letters, immendiately below is the commentary of the Shelah, and below that Mishpat Zedek, the commentary of R. Zalshin. Where the commentary of R. Israel Ze’ev, Shoshane Leket appears it is next to that of the Shelah; those commentaries are than in two columns, the Shelah in inner column, Shoshane Leket in the outer column. All three commentaries are in rabbinic letters. After Psalms, which concludes on p. 262 is Kizzur Sefer Haredim, an abridgement of R. Eleazar ben Moses Azikri’s (Ascari, 1533–1600) Sefer Haredim. That work is an ethical compendium of the taryag (613) mitzvot and derivative commandments from a kabbalistic perspective. The author, R. Azikri was one of the leading rabbis of Safed.
