Description		    R. Moses Kliers (1874-1934), Chief Rabbi of the Tiberius Ashkanic Community. R. Kliers was born and raised in Tzfat. In his teens, he married the daughter of a prominent scholar of the Slonim community in Tiberius, and he went to live there. At the age of 26, in response to a request by R. Samuel, the Slonimer Rebbe, R. Kliers founded a yeshiva, Ohr Torah, at the grave-site of Reb Meir Baal ha-Ness on the shores of the Kineret. He was involved in community affairs and worked assiduously for the welfare and improvement of Tiberius Jewry.
