Description		    Letter by the Chief Rabbi of Lebanon, R. Ben Zion b. Abraham ha-Levi Lechtman(1891-1964). R. Lechtman was an accomplished scholar, versed in Talmud and Poskim, and a prolific writer. Seven huge volumes of the Benei Zion commentary, hundreds of responsa and novellae in many periodic rabbinical journals, and several other works speak volumes of this rabbi's vast Torah scholarship. He made aliyah in 1960 and passed on four years later.
