Scenes of the Galilee, Valley of Jezreel, Samaria, Shechem, Beth E-l, Jerusalem, the Banias River, Dead Sea, Moab, Petra, Aravah, Shiloh, Hills of Benjamin, and many others at the turn of the century.
High quality photographs, often including figures amongst the scenes (in contrast to the stereo-views of the mid-nineteenth century which required long exposures, so tended to show buildings but no figures). Underwood & Underwood were active, producing stereo views from 1882 until 1920, later continuing as a news service. |
