A grammatical textbook for learning the Hebrew language appropriate for high school and university levels. An index is included, followed by two pages of addenda and corrections. The pre-title page title is: Hebraische Grammatik.

The author, Heinrich Wilhelm Josias Thiersch (1817-1885) was a doctor of philosophy in theology and a professor at Marburg. He was also the author of Vorlesungen über Katholicismus und Protestantismus (Erlangen, 1846-48), Ursprung und Entwicklung der Colonieen in Nordamerica, 1496-1776 (Augsburg, 1880), and Inbegriff der christlichen Lechre (Basel, 1886). He was a member of the Apostolic Church.
