Detailed Description |

Full sized wall poster bemoaning the deteriorating condition of Jewish life due to the lack of study of Kabbalah. It has the heading “Wisdom cries aloud in the street; she utters her voice in the squares” (Proverbs 1:20). It begins From within and from without we are surrounded by troubles. How from within? The young generation goes from us attracted by a spirit of abandonment and lewdness, abandoning our holy Torah. How from without? For all the thousands of years of our exile there was never such a terrible time as this, when those who hated us prevailed over all of our people in all places. This appalling situation requires us to reevaluate our lives. It continues, noting that the source of all these terrible troubles is the lack of effort to study Kabbalah. It bases this on the verse “The voice said, Cry. And he said, What shall I cry? All flesh is grass, and all its grace is as the flower of the field; The grass withers, the flower fades; when the breath of the Lord blows upon it; surely the people is like grass” (Isaiah 40: 6-7) which it then explains according to the Tikkunei Zohar. The text continues in detail. The Mosdos issuing the broadside informs that they are based in Me’ah She’arim Pinat Geulah.
