Detailed
Description
Large oversized wall poster delivering a harsh attack on Israeli Independence day festivals. The poster states notes that 5 Iyyar, celebrating thirty-three years of the medinah, is a bitter day in which the holy Shehinah is in pain due to the decrees of the state which are heretical and persecute religion in the holy land, for which the blood of thousands were spilled as water in our holy land and stands in terrible danger. It states that on this day they have raised their head to profane all that is holy and precious, to supress the remnant and the Torah institutions with the banner of atheism. It calls on every man and woman of the Haredim who are pained by this appalling situation. The broadside continues in this vein. It is printed over the names of R. Isaac Meir Weis, av bet din of Jerusalem, R. Aryeh Friend, R. Israel Moses Duschintsky. R. Fischer, R. Benhamin Rabbinowitz. R. Abraham David Horowitz, and at the end in large letters, the Admor of Satmar, R. Moses Teitlebaum.
