Detailed Description |
|
Only edition of this tale written for the benefit of young people. The title page emphasizes this with the verse “Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings you have founded strength” (Psalms 8:3). It describes it as booklet 1 but there is no indication that any additional booklets were published. There is a word to the reader in which the author states his purpose in saving young people by providing then with an easy to understand book about the wonders of nature. Jewish who are not knowledgeable about the wonders of nature and whose hearts are closed to it are opened to a “new heavens and a new earth” (Isaiah 65:17), suddenly revealed before their eyes. The text is comprised of five chapters, air and wind; water and steam; sound and silence; light and darkness; and cold and heat. The text is written in a clear and lucid style and in a conversational format with questions and responses. At the end of the book is verse from Abraham Zukerman. The original wrappers are bound in the book. |
