Description		    Only edition of these responsa from R. David ben Isaac Bonan. It is in two parts, the second being entitled Neshal David and concluding with Kunteres Hemdat Da’at Poseles from R. Raphael Eliakim. There is an approbation from R. Yeshua Basis of Tunis, followed by R. Bonan’s introduction. The text is in two columns in rabbinic type. The responsa are on all four parts of the Shulhan Arukh. Among the issues addresses is on the command to women not to show their hair.

R. David ben Isaac Bonan belonged to an illustrious family of Tunisian rabbis. This Bonan served as rabbi of the Livornian community of Tunis; he died in that city in 1855. After his death his family defrayed the expenses of the publication of his works, "Nishal David," "Ohel David," both containing responsa (Leghorn, 1857); "Mo'ed David," a commentary on "'Abodat ha-Kodesh" of R. Solomon Adret (Rashba, Jerusalem, 1887); "Mahaneh David," and various treatises on ritual divorce (ib. 1889). He also wrote, in collaboration with Judah Levy of Gibraltar Dai Heshib —a commentary on the treatise Sanhedrin (ib. 1846), as well as editing some works of his father and of others.
