Description
Bi-lingual Hebrew-French publication of the Grand Rabbis du Marac containing a record of the meeting, their resolutions, and takanots. The text is primarily comprised of takanot and azharot, The former consists of ten parts, addressing family issues such as the order of betrothal, mamzarim and shetukim, prohibiting yibum without the agreement of the yibbamah, inheritance by the daughter, dwelling with parents, divorce because of infertility, and one who supports parents and passes away. Among the subject in azharot addresses milah and toharah, shehitah in Morocco, appointing judges, religious education, and mikva’ot. There is a list of the prominent rabbis in attendance and their reports.
