Only edition of this monograph emphasizing the importance of Torah and the obligation to instruct the young in both the written and oral Torah by R. Mordecai ben Solomon Daniel ha-Levi. The cover and title page have the heading “Thus says the Lord; If my covenant is not established with day and night, and if I have not appointed the ordinances of heaven and earth” (Jeremiah 33:25) amd the world stands on the breath “of schoolchildren” (Babylonian Talmud var. cit.) Below the title it state that Bet-Sefer Yehudi includes customs of the Bet kenesset. Shaarei Zedek is mentioned on the title page, that being the synagogue of R. Mordecai ha-Levi. Among the subject matter addressed in Bet-Sefer Yehudi, in addition to those noted on the title page, are geulah and teshuvah. Concerning the former, when, how and why the redemption will come.
