Description
   Groom - Isaac son of Shlomo son of Shmuel Snaninz, bride - Maknin daughter of the judge Abraham son of Shmuel son of Shlomo of Israel, dated 13th of Elul 5583.
          
Paragraph 2    Sephardic Gibraltar ketubbot extant today generally date from the mid to late 19th century, this ketubbah dated 1822 is one of the earliest known. A feature of Gibraltar ketubbot the money clause comprises the bride's dowry and the groom's two increments, which appear before the dowry. Each of these three amounts is standradized at 600 pesos fuertes, so that the total equals 1800. The numerical equavilent in Hebrew is the letters "חי" - meaning life - inscribed in large capitals and occuping five lines.
