Detailed
Description		    Verses and essays of the sages about Elijah the prophet, with the Zohar and order of circumcision. These verses and essays were intended for post-Shabbat reading as a great merit. This custom was established by R. Naphtali Katz, author of the Smichat Chachamim. On the back of the title page is an illustration of the western wall.

Special variant copy: the prayer book of R’ Yakov Koppel is mentioned on the title page, and he is referred to as “the virtuous rabbi and kabbalist,” as opposed to most copies where it is inscribed as “the holy rabbi and kabbalist.” See also S. HaLevi, Sifrei Yerushalayim Harishonim 56, that this description is also found in the Naphtali ben Menachem copy.

          
Paragraph 2    פסוקים ומאמרי חז"ל על אליהו הנביא, עם זוהר וסדר ברית מילה. הפסוקים והמאמרים נועדו לאומרם במוצאי שבתות כסגולה גדולה, והם נוסדו עפ"י ר' נפתלי כ"ץ מחבר "סמיכת חכמים". מאחורי השער יש ציור של הכותל המערבי. וריאנט מיוחד: בשער מוזכר הסידור של ר' יעקב קאפיל והוא מכונה "הרב הצדיק המקובל", וברוב העותקים נכתב: הרב הקדוש המקובל. ראה ש. הלוי ספרי ירושלים הראשונים 56, שכנוסח שלפנינו מצאה בעותק של נפתלי בן מנחם.
